Parent counseling
02
How does it work
It is a space dedicated to supporting, sustaining and strengthening the parental role throughout the parenting process. All those who are raising their children and consider it necessary, whether a parental couple or a single-parent family, can go through a parent guidance process. The ages of the children are varied, from babies to teenagers, since different stages present different challenges. The therapist listens, embracing the problems presented, asking questions and helping to think about the situation together. In this process, we seek to know the history of that child, as well as explore the roles, expectations, beliefs and values regarding parenting. By putting one's own history into words, self-knowledge is deepened, resources are developed and the parental role is strengthened.
How does it work?
● We first met through WhatsApp chat
● A fixed day and time is combined for the sessions
● We connect via Meet or WhatsApp video call, depending on your preference, on schedule
● It is recommended to choose a quiet place, at a time where you can be alone, so you can speak freely
● Payments are made by bank transfer if you live in Argentina or by PayPal if you live in another country. A receipt will be extended in all cases, as proof of your payment.
Reasons for consultation
When should you consult?
● You are experiencing many doubts or difficulties in parenting
● The child's development is affected
● Physical or emotional health of one or more family members is affected by conflicts or difficulties
● You are experiencing a state of stagnation, where you cannot, on your own, resolve the situation
● You want to know the causes of your difficulties and strengthen the parental role
Some of the main reasons for consultation in parent counseling are difficulties in managing challenging or problematic behaviors in the children, lack of effective communication at home, the need to establish clear limits and rules, as well as the search for strategies to promote autonomy and responsibility in children. In certain cases, the consultation may be motivated by the detection of difficulties in the child's development, whether by the parents or pediatrician. Other times, parents come to this space after receiving a diagnosis in their children and need to work on this issue. Finally, many come to receive support in the emotional education of their children, develop an effective ability to deal with conflicts and manage stressful situations or changes in family dynamics.
Whatever the situation, it is important to consult with a professional if you have any questions, without obligation.
